Short Biography
Wulfrune was the wife of Aelfhelm of York who died in 1006. The identity of her parents and date / place of her birth are not known. The couple had three children and their daughter Aelfgifu became the first wife of King Canute the Great and the mother of King Harold I.
In 1006 Wulfrune’s husband Aelfhelm, was murdered and her two sons blinded by Eadric Steona.
