Aelfthryth of Wessex was a member of the House of Wessex and the House of Flanders (by marriage). She was born in 877, the daughter of King Alfred the Great and Ealhswith of Mercia.

Aelfthryth of Wessex Short Biography
Aelfthryth of Wessex was born around 877, the youngest daughter of King Alfred the Great and Ealhswith of Mercia. She married Baldwin of Flanders towards the end of the 9th century and they had four children.
Baldwin of Flanders died in 918 and was succeeded by their son Arnulf. Aelfthryth died in 929 and is buried in St Peter’s Abbey, Ghent, Belgium.
