Osbeorn was the son of Siward of Northumbria and the brother of Waltheof of Northumbria. His date of birth is not known. He was killed in battle against the Scots in 1054. The nickname ‘Bulax’, was probably a name for a type of fighting axe. It was probably earned due to his fighting skills.
