Matilda was born around 1107 and died in 1154. Seh was the daughter of Count Fulk V of Anjou and Ermengarde of Maine, the sister of Geoffrey Plantagenet. She married William Aethling son of King Henry I in 1119, just months before William died in the White Ship Disaster. Matilda did not remarry but became a nun at Fontevrault Abbey
