Short Biography
Wulfhilda of East Anglia was born in 998, the daughter of King Aethelred the Unready by his first wife, Aelfgifu of York.
After the death of her father in 1016, her brother Edmund became King. He arranged for Wulfhilda to marry Ulfcytel Snylling, Earldorman of East Anglia, as part of an alliance against the invasion of Canute. Wulfhilda’s husband and brother both died in 1016. Little is known of her life after 1016, but it is believed she died in 1042.
