Edmund Aetheling was born in 1017 and died in 1048. He was the second son of King Edmund Ironside. After the death of his father and the succession of King Canute, Edmund and his brother Edward were exiled. Edmund married and settled in Hungary. He died before his family was recalled to England by Edward the Confessor in 1056.
