Short Biography
Eadgyth of Mercia was born in 995, the daughter of King Aethelred the Unready by his first wife, Aelfgifu of York. Her brother, Edmund became king after their father’s death and he arranged for her to marry Eadric Streona, Ealdorman of Mercia. They had a child but no further details are known. She died around 1022.
